MESUT OZIL is ‘understood’ as not being included in Arsenal’s Europa League squad.
The German is excluded from the Arsenal squad by coach Mikel Arteta, who has not been with the team since March.
The 31-year-old Ozil was an unused substitute player after the suspension for two Arsenal games, the last of which took place on 25 June.
The world champion has entered the final year of his 350,000 pound per week contract in North London.
And since there are no players this summer, the Gunners are staying with their former talisman.
It seems that despite the enormous expenditure on Ozil, there will be no way back for the ex-star from Madrid.

The 32-year-old is nowhere near the start of the Gunners in the XI season, but Arsenal bosses have failed to move the Greek, who earns around £90,000 a week, over the summer.
One defender who could still be called out is last year’s £27 million contract signer William Saliba.
According to reports, the Gunners are considering loaning the Frenchman to a championship team as he gets used to English football.
